Sharmila Srinivasan, MD

Dr. Srinivasan is a Board-eligible Ophthalmologist (Eye Surgeon and Physician). An honors graduate from Brooklyn College-Scholars program, Dr. Sharmila Srinivasan received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics before earning her Medical doctorate degree from State University of New York-Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Srinivasan completed her Internship at United Health Services Hospitals in Johnson City, NY followed by Ophthalmology residency training at Bronx-Lebanon/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.

She provides a broad range of Eye care services including Cataract surgery, Laser treatments for Glaucoma and Diabetes, Eyelid surgery Comprehensive eye exams and Contact lens/Glasses exams.

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

She is affiliated with the area’s leading health facilities and health networks including Irving-Coppell Surgical Hospital, Baylor Health Center at Irving-Coppell, Las Colinas Medical Center, Baylor Medical Center at Irving and other hospitals in the area.

She has a real love for Clinical research. She has been involved in several research projects in the field of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and corneal ulcers and has presented her findings at Ophthalmologic conventions including the prestigious annual Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Srinivasan lives in Irving with her husband. She has an artistic side and enjoys painting in watercolors and acrylics.
